Social interaction doesn't immediately shut down an autistic sim or put them in a permanent uncomfortable mood (One of the mods I found really didn't want my sim communicating to the outside world- autism isn't an allergy to social contact, it can just be tiring sometimes because, at least in my experience, you don't have instinctual social cues so you have to be conscious of every expression - on their face and yours!). ![]() An autistic sim can hyper-fixate on a special interest. In overly loud/busy environments an autistic sim can sometimes experience sensory overload.Autism isn't portrayed as good or bad, just a thing that exists (optional).I am not offended by this, but I do not see what they are portraying as "autism" to actually be "autism" or related to me in any other way- so it doesn't really help my sims 4 modding experience.ĭoes anyone know of a sims 4 mod that adheres to most, if not, all of these specifications? All autism mods that I have found have been made by "friends" of autistic people at best, and random -insensitive- neurotypical people at worst, and as they are not directly affected by autism, they have absolutely no clue how it works. This is difficult because sims are presented in a very neurotypical manner, one of which I don't entirely connect to. I'm autistic and I would like my sim to echo my mentalities about things.
